Scrapbook Club May - For Always - 2nd layout

Here is the other layout for next month's Scrapbooking Club using the For Always paper collection.

This layout was created by Close To My Heart for the Workshops On The Go kit that comes complete with a full Level 2 Paper Pack, an exclusive stamp set, the For Always Assortment, and the Black and Grey Sparkles Assortment.

The instruction guide walks you through all of the steps to create this beautiful page.  It includes pictures and details on creating everything including this "curled" embellishment.

You will need the Cricut Artiste cartridge to complete these pages.  If you don't own it - it is a MUST have.

Remember I also added the Black Buttons Assortment to these pages. Some of the buttons even have glitter on them. Who doesn't love their bling.
There are 2 ways that you can also make these pages.
1-Simply purchase the For Always Workshop On The Go kit and the Black Buttons Assortment. (You will need inks and blocks for stamping.)

2-If you live near Amelia, VA (15 minutes from the Woodlake area in Midlothian) you can join us for my Monthly Scrapbooking Club where we will create 4 12x12 pages including the 2 seen above at either of the following dates:

Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 2-5pm
Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6:30-9:30pm

Cost starts at just $16 and includes a full Level 2 Paper Pack.
Cost is $30 for a Level 2 Paper Pack and all of the embellishments
You choose how much you want to spend.

Email me (or leave a comment) if you want to attend.

I'll be back next week with more artwork using the For Always collection.

Scrapbook Club May - For Always

I love the new collection "For Always".  It goes with ANYTHING.  I'm not kidding.  Here is the first layout that I created using the For Always paper collection for next month's Scrapbooking Club.

The great thing about this collection is that all of the patterned papers are black and white so they are so versitile.  The paper packet comes with Ruby, Honey, and Lagoon cardstock, but you could easily substitute something else.  These colors however were perfect for scrappin' pictures of my sister's wedding.

I love the rose that was stamped with our Ruby Ink Pad.  It's such a nice warm, rich shade of red.

I also added the Black Buttons Assortment to these pages.  Some of the buttons even have glitter on them.  Who doesn't love their bling.

Perfect Fit - Mom using Surf's Up paper

I was so excited to use the new My Acrylix stamp set, Perfect Fit - Mom (C1543) and this card that I found on Pinterest worked perfectly to highight the "World's Greatest Mom" stamp image.

Here's a list of the product used:
Lagoon and White cardstock
2" Scalloped Circle Punch
1 1/2" and 1" Circle Punch

I love that this stamp set has other images and can be used for so much more than just Mom.

This is the 4th card that we will create at my April Card Club Class that will take place on Thursday, April 25 from 6:30-9:30pm in my studio in Amelia, VA.

We will make 12 cards total (3 each of the 4 cards shown above).
Cost of the class (or a kit) is $25 and includes the following:
All Cardstock
Just Blooms Paradise Paper Flowers (you'll have leftovers)

Paper Flowers Card and Glitter Buttons

I got the idea for this card from a card that I pinned on Pinterest and I couldn't wait to recreated it. I don't think mine turned out as great as the original, but it would certainly brighten someone's day.

This is another card that we will create at my April Card Club Class and it is so simple.  Just start with your card base and a solid piece of cardstock cut 1/2" smaller.  Then add some flowers, hand-drawn stems and stitching, your sentiment and buttons - done!

Here's a list of the product used:
Slate cardstock
Black Exclusive Inks Pad
Black Jurnaling Pen
Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be sharing the last card from my April Card Club tomorrow.

Card Chatter - focus on a friend Card

This is probably my favorite card from my April Card Club Class. I used a pattern from our latest How To Book called Make It From Your Heart Volume 1.  This book is great for inspiration and ideas.  It contains 16 two-page layout patterns, 2 single-page patterns, as well as 12 different card patterns.  It is an invaluable resource.

I loved the My Acrylix Stamp Set, Card Chatter - focus on a friend, and couldn't wait to use it.
Here's a list of the product used:
Lagoon and White cardstock
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be sharing more cards tomorrow.

Deepest Sympathy Card using Surf's Up Paper

Here is the first card I want to share from my April Card Club Class.  All of these cards would be great for using up those small paper scraps that you have leftover.

I got the idea from a card that I found on Pinterest.

Simply cut your squares and then round the opposing corners with a Corner Rounder.  Sponge the edges of each of the paper pieces with Chocolate ink and stamp your sentiment in the same color.

April Stamp of the Month

Well it's the beginning of the month and that means a new Stamp of the Month

April's stamp set is called My Sunshine.

There are numerous stamps in this set that coordinate with the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  The picture above is the actual carrier sheet for the stamp set.  You can see each image that has an outline around it also has a size and page # listed.  The page number refers to the Cricut Artiste booklet and the size is the size that the image should be cut.  It's so simple.  No more cutting out your stamped images.

Here is a card that I created for my Monthly Cricut Artiste class.

I used the Tommy Paper Pack, Dimensional Elements Awards, and the Baker's Twine Hemp from the Mini-Medley Accents Wooden Collection.

If you live close to Amelia, VA you can join us for my Monthly Cricut Artiste Class on Saturday, April 27 at 9am.  The class is just $10 if you own the Cricut Artiste collection and $20 if you don't as I will cut all of your papers ahead of time.

I am very blessed to be the team leader of the Harmonious Scrappers.  We have consultants in Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia.  To sign up today simply click here.  If you have any questions or concerns about becoming a consultant simply email me.  I would love to talk with you about it some more.
